As LGBT Pride month comes to a close, an interesting survey from Ogilvy came out this week that showed that the majority of Americans preferred brands that are LGBT inclusive. Read Survey Report Here
In the era of Trump, this is not only surprising, but quite refreshing.
But, the survey respondents say, LGBT advertising during Gay Pride Month is not enough. Brands need to be committed all year long, and to show that they support the LGBT community through financial support, community relations, partnerships, etc.

If your brand is considering marketing to the LGBT community, make sure that you are prepared not just to dip your toe in the water, but to commit on a long-term basis.
The rewards can be lucrative. Just ask Starbucks, Amazon, Apple and a host of other companies that have been consistent and committed with their LGBT marketing.
